1) Ensure the success of the project through meticulous planning, organizing of various resources and sharing information in an effective and efficient way in liaison with the project manager.
2) Monitoring project plans, schedules, expenditure and budgets to make certain that everything is on track and deal with any challenges arising.
3) Providing the required administrative support including preparing presentation materials or ensuring relevant persons have prepared the materials.
4) Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder engagements with guidance from the project manager.
5) Providing technical assistance to Africa SLCP Project team on various aspects
6) Documenting and following up on action points and decisions from meetings.
7) Coordinate the efforts of team member to guarantee cohesion in achievement of the overarching objectives.
8) Prepare timely reports of project progress, activities and or resource utilization to the sponsors and other relevant stakeholders.
9) Other roles and responsibilities assigned or arising in the course of project implementation.
Requirements
1) A Masters Degree Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or related field of study. A degree in Environmental Studies is an added advantage
2) Three years of work experience with similar responsibilities in an organization dealing with matters climate change and or SLCPs
3) Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
4) Ability to work effectively both as a team member and individually.
5) Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills even under pressure
6) Good analytical and problem solving skills
